Property Tax Levy

Due to the 2024 flood and decrease in student enrollment, the City of Rock Valley and Storm Lake school district are considering raising their property taxes.

The Spencer City Council held a special meeting Monday evening to discuss their proposed property tax levy.

The budget for the next school year for the Sioux City School District is nearing completion, so a public hearing on the financial plan will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the downtown headquarters.
