The mission of Siouxland Public Media KWIT-KOJI is to enhance the quality of life by providing public radio that informs, entertains, and expands the mind.

KWIT FM-90.3-KOJI FM90.7 airs from the campus of Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City, Iowa. With 100,000 watts of power, Siouxland Public Media brings public radio to Siouxland communities within a 100 mile radius of Sioux City, including Northeast Nebraska and Southeast South Dakota.

Since 1978, Siouxland Public Media KWIT-KOJI has provided comprehensive news coverage from National Public Radio (NPR), classical and other quality music, and outstanding information and entertainment programming -- a format not available on commercial radio stations.

News and information programs distinguish KWIT-KOJI from other media, with over 40 hours a week devoted to programs that explore the news with intelligence and depth -- MORNING EDITION, ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, and WEEKEND EDITION.

By providing this programming alternative, KWIT-KOJI reaches an audience which is exceptional for its intellectual curiousity and interest in our community.

Fifteen thousand people in Siouxland prefer this award-winning, non-commercial broadcast medium each week. These listeners are loyal, as nearly 1,000 of them are members who annually contribute more than $120,000 in support of Siouxland Public Media's programming.

Businesses and organizations also invest in Siouxland Pubilc Media programming, for which they receive recognition on the air as program underwriters.

Siouxland Public Media also enjoys a strong partnership with WITCC which supports the station financially and in other important ways.

It is the policy of Siouxland Public Media not to trade or exchange our membership lists with outside groups. We use our individual membership lists for internal use such as renewal billings, newsletter and program guide mailings, special notices, and other correspondence.
