Republican Chris McGowan, of Sioux City, leads all candidates who are seeking the Iowa 4th Congressional District seat in 2026 in campaign fundraising.

McGowan raised the most money in the fourth quarter filing period in 2025, with about $136,000, and has the most campaign cash on hand, with $354,000.

McGowan received campaign contributions from many people who run businesses. Republican Ryan Rhodes had $107,000 cash on hand at the end of the year, while state Representative Matt Windschitl raised no money in the fourth quarter and has about $47,000 in campaign cash.

Among Democrats seeking the Iowa 4th congressional seat, David Dawson, of Lawton, raised about $18,000 for the quarter. Ashley WolfTornabane, of Storm Lake, raised $2,000 for the fourth quarter, and had less than that amount in campaign cash.

The Cedar Rapids Gazette first reported the campaign fundraising on Monday.
