President Trump Approves Disaster Aid; Visits Iowa Tuesday

President Donald Trump will visit Cedar Rapids tomorrow.  Trump today approved Iowa's application for a major federal disaster declaration in the aftermath of last week's devastating storm. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds asked for nearly 4-billion dollars, including almost 3.8-billion to cover the loss of corn and soybean crops, and the rest for utilities, homes with major damage, and public assistance. 

Trump today will visit Minnesota and Wisconsin to speak about jobs and the economy. 

The Siouxland District Health Department confirmed 2 additional COVID-19 related deaths today in Woodbury County.

This raises the total to 54 deaths in Woodbury County. In addition, the District Health Department reported 3 new confirmed cases.  Woodbury County has tallied 3,816cases.

The state today reports an additional 395 confirmed cases, with a total of  978 COVID-19-related deaths. There have been more than 52,600 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state so far. 

Nebraska has had  for 30,372 cases and 361 deaths. Dakota County had 1,925 cases, adding 11 new cases reported today, and 42 deaths.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in South Dakota increased by 86 today.

South Dakota has a total of 10,360 COVID-19 cases as of today, and 153 deaths.
