Explore the National Music Museum’s Founding Collection at June’s Discovery Saturday

Join us at the National Music Museum (NMM) on Saturday, June 7, as we celebrate our founding collector, Arne B. Larson, and the remarkable instruments he brought to Vermillion over 50 years ago.

Instrument Spotlight Talks will take place on the hour from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Larson Gallery, featuring highlights from the original Larson collection.

Start your visit with Music Storytime at 10:30 a.m., when Anna Van Kley will read a new NMM children’s book about Arne and introduce kids to real instruments from the story—now on exhibit. This program is free and generously sponsored by the M.A. Everist Foundation.

All Discovery Saturday activities are included with museum admission.

Discovery Saturdays take place on the first Saturday of each month, offering visitors special activities and guided educational tours throughout the museum.
