The Sioux City Council, in its meeting Monday, deferred the second hearing of a rezoning ordinance, changing property at 3700 Jefferson Street from commercial to industrial.

The Sioux City Council in their meeting Monday approved first reading of rezoning a property in Leeds from commercial to industrial.

Knife River would like to rezone land in Leeds for industrial use. Community members have submitted a petition to prevent the rezoning for fear of increased dust and traffic in the area. The landowner and company hold the position that the project won't cause much change to the present environment.

Lori Snow from the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is today's guest, she'll be talking about a beloved exhibit at the center that will soon be going "extinct".
