Cloudy Skies and Medium Highs

Spalding Park Environmental Sciences Elementary School

Eastley and Jocelyn are our Weather Bosses this week!

I’m Eastley, and I’m Jocelyn, reporting Siouxland Public Media Weather from the Spalding Park Environmental Sciences Elementary School.

Today in Sioux City, expect cloudy skies and a high of 52 and a low of 29. This Saturday and Sunday will be cloudy, highs in the mid 40’s and lows around 30.

The Iowa Great Lakes will experience cloudy skies this weekend with highs in the mid 40’s and lows around 25.

In class we are learning about solar eclipse. They form when the sun and the moon overlap in the sky. Looking at the sun during a solar eclipse can damage your eyes. Solar eclipses happen 2 to 5 times per year. The last time there were 5 in a year was 1935.

I’m Eastley, and I’m Jocelyn, for Siouxland Public Media Weather.
