Weather Bosses Say Snow (Possibly)

Dakota and Damond are this week's Weather Bosses
Dakota and Damond are this week's Weather Bosses

I’m Dakota Atwood, and I’m Damond Dooley, reporting Siouxland Public Media Weather from the Spalding Park Environmental Sciences Elementary School.

Today in Sioux City, expect clouds and slight chance of rain a high of 35 and a low of 22. This Saturday and Sunday will be mostly cloudy, a high of 42 and low of 27.

The Iowa Great Lakes will experience possible snow showers this weekend, with highs in the mid 30s and lows around 25.

In class we are learning about Tsunamis. They form when earthquakes on converging tectonic plate boundaries collide or slip. A Tsunami is a very large and strong wave that can go as fast as 600mph. Most commonly they occur in the middle of the ocean but can cause serious damage to coastal cities.

I’m Dakota, and I'm Damond, for Siouxland Public Media Weather.
