Voting in an election is at hand in Siouxland.

We have been previewing contests on the November 3 ballot, both with our newscasts and also some Frequency shows.

This particular show includes previews for three Iowa Legislature contests, two in the House and one in the Senate, which all have areas of Sioux City in the districts.

You will hear from the Iowa House District 1 candidates, with Dmocrat Shawn Olorandami and Republican Josh Steinhoff. The other House contest is for District 2, where incumbent Republican Bob Henderson is opposed by Democrat Jessica Lopez-Walker.

Concerning the Iowa Senate District 1 race, there is a rematch from a 2025 special election, in which Democrat Catelin Drey of Sioux City defeated Christopher Prosch.

The nominees discussed education, taxes, inflation and affordability, and data centers.

We have lots of content about the election on our website of kwit.org, look for the pulldown for the Elections section.
