A lot of people start each new year with an attempt to live their lives more healthfully.
For some people, that means the basics of beginning a new exercise regimen, or finally attempting to make such an exercise push last more than a few weeks.
Some may consult their medical doctors or go on a new medication to address some aspects of their health.
Practitioners of holistic health are also prevalent in this area, but sometimes overlooked. Holistic health can be described as a focus on wellness that simultaneously addresses the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual components of health.
For this episode of What’s The Frequency, we dig into holistic health with Damon Peirce, who is an owner of Thrive Wellness Center in Sioux City, and two people from The Expansion Center, with Debbie LaCroix and Stacie Anderson.
The trio talk about their impressions of holistic health, why they support it, and how the see it being increasingly embraced by Siouxlanders.
LaCroix, Peirce, and Anderson say they enjoy discussing holistic living with people who embrace it, and also with those who have apprehension about, as something mysterious or separate from the longstanding practice of traditional medicine.
The 10 annual Siouxland Holistic Health Expo will take place on Saturday, January 25, at the Sioux City Convention Center in Sioux City.
