A large multi-county Democratic Party event will be held Tuesday in Sioux Center, Iowa.
The event is hosted by the Democratic Party county organizations in Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, Plymouth, Sioux and Woodbury counties. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Terrace View Event Center.
The keynote speaker will be Dave Muhlbauer, who is the Lieutenant Governor candidate with Rob Sand, the party’s nominee for the Iowa Governor position. Some of the Democrats who will take part include Dave Dawson, who is seeking the Iowa 4th congressional district position, and State Treasurer nominee John Norwood.
About five Democrats seeking Iowa Legislative positions in the November election will also take part in Sioux Center.
In related 2026 election news, the Woodbury County Republican Party opened an election office in the Mayfair Building near the Southern Hills Mall in Sioux City on Friday.
Two of the Republicans attending that opening were Chris McGowan and Zach Lahn, who are running against Dawson and Sand, respectively.
