Democrat Sand brings governor campaign to NW Iowa for second week in a row

A few days after campaigning in Northwest Iowa, Democratic governor nominee Rob Sand is returning to the area for more town hall meetings.

Sand spoke on July 2 to several dozen people in a Monona County town hall at the Onawa Public Library in Onawa. He has a meeting in Spirit Lake this evening, and will make four more stops on July 9.

Those begin at 11 a.m. in Sibley in Osceola County, ar 1 p.m. at Rock Rapids in Lyon County, at 3:30n p.m. at Le Mars in Plymouth County, and 5:30 p.m. at Sioux Center in Sioux County.

Sand is currently the Iowa state auditor, and Zach Lahn is his Republican opponent. Recent polls have shown a tightly competitive race.

Republican Iowa governor Kim Reynolds is not seeking re-election in the November 3 election.
