In a closed meeting held Friday, the Sioux City School Board approved a leave of absence for newly appointed Superintendent Dr. Juan Cordova.
The Board of Directors, along with members of the Sioux City School District, will work together to ensure a successful start to the school year.
In a statement, the district noted that no additional information will be provided at this time.
The first day of school is August 25.
