Siouxland Public Media in Sioux City serves a tri-state region that includes several Native American reservations. Four out of five Native women will face violence during their lifetime. In 2022, the station’s small news department focused on bringing awareness to the issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW).
