The Iowa Democratic Party is expected to release final caucus results today from the caucuses held on February 3rd.  The Democratic Party started a recount of 23 precincts on Tuesday after a request from candidates Pete Buttigieg and Bernie Sanders.  Buttigieg had a slight lead of 14 to 12 national delegates over Sanders.

State officials have issued a warning for people in Nebraska who recently traveled to one of 10 countries that have experienced an outbreak of COVID-19.

They are asking them to self-report to state or local public health officials.

Officials with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services said Wednesday they were tracking the virus that originated in China.

They haven't identified any cases in Nebraska residents, although the state is providing quarantine locations for people who were exposed elsewhere in the world.

The Iowa Department of Public Health says it is taking steps to monitor COVID-19 after federal officials say they expect the virus to spread in the U.S.

Health officials say two Iowans who recently traveled to China tested negative for the disease

And, the number of flu deaths increased in the state of Iowa.

The Department of Public Health says 29 people died from complications of the flu since October.  One victim was a child.  And, all three Siouxland state are still seeing widespread flu activity.  In Iowa, officials say 76 schools reported more than 10% of students missed class because of the flu.
