Save, Spend, Invest, Give by Daniel Pecaut is a meditation that centers the reader's attention on what can be done with a dollar. Its ability to silence noise, whether it be of the mind or of the physical world, is impressive. Its information approaches the austere. The message, however, is full bodied: if you have bit of something to save, doing so is the first step to empowering yourself and changing the world.

The author joined SPM's Mark Munger in the wooded area of the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center to discuss Save, Spend, Invest, Give. Listen. Pecaut will be signing his book at Book People tomorrow (Saturday, May 14) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All profits from book sales will be donated to the All Nations Training Center on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

Mark Munger first began listening to public radio as a child in the back of his Mom's VW Vanagon, falling in love with the stories on Morning Edition and Prairie Home Companion and the laughter of Click and Clack on Car Talk. Through KWIT, he was introduced to the great orchestras and jazz artists, the sounds of folk and blues, and the eclectic expressions of humanity. This American Life and Radiolab arrived in his formative college years and made him want nothing more than to be a part of the public radio world.
