Rewilding Northwest Iowa
Rewilding Northwest Iowa
Did you know that Iowa is the most biologically altered state in the USA? Did you know that part of this is that more land is devoted to roads than to natural areas in Iowa? So little is left for wildlife. That’s where rewilding comes in. Rewilding is the process used to return and reconnect the landscape so more wildlife can find homes in Iowa and move across the land safely.
Are you interested in helping to rewild Northwest Iowa? Then join us for a unique opportunity to learn more.
Dr. David Hoferer from Briar Cliff University will talk about what rewilding means.
Then you will be able to collaborate with a diverse group of participants, sharing and formulating your ideas into action plans. By the end of the session, we will have the first steps toward a roadmap that we can follow to Rewild Northwest Iowa!
See the agenda and register by noon on Wednesday, June 12, at https://bit.ly/RewildNWIA-6-15-24 or email nwiasierragroup@gmail.com
Registration is capped at 100 participants. Call/text 72-986-6210
Refreshments and a light lunch will be served; please bring your own water bottle or mug.
Rewilding Northwest Iowa, funded by a grant from BeWildReWild, is coordinated by the Northwest Iowa Group of Sierra Club.
