October 28th 3-5pm (with potluck to follow): "4th Tuesdays" Service Day at Stone Park. Let's help put out the welcome mat for fall visitors by picking up litter that has gathered throughout the summer. We'll meet at the Stone Lodge parking area at 3pm then carpool to two specific portions of the park which need the most attention. Wear sturdy shoes, your favorite work gloves, and dress according to the weather. FOSP will supply gloves and bags, and are our guides.
By 5pm-ish we should be back at the lodge to enjoy a potluck and conversations with fellow volunteers. Electricity and refrigeration is available onsite. BYO table service, and beverage. We'll stoke up the fireplace if there's a chill in the air.
We will not have water or toilet access at the lodge, but the pit toilet in the nearby campground is open. .
