The broadcast world is winding up Murrow May, the time of year when stations across the country are awarded regional Edward R. Murrow awards by the Radio Television Digital News Association. This year, the RTDNA selected Siouxland Public Media for two prizes: Breaking News Coverage, for Bret Hayworth’s news piece “SPM News: Chain of people rescue woman swept down flooded Big Sioux River in Sioux City” and Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for a longer feature entitled “Becoming Jim Tillman.”
