The Sioux City School Board will vote to finalize extending the interim superintendent contract for Jim Vanderloo during its meeting Monday.

During the meeting, the board will work out the terms and conditions of the contract. A few weeks ago the board had announced its intent to extend the contract.

Vanderloo assumed the position of interim superintendent in February when associate superintendent Angela Bemus went on medical leave.

His contract for the role will be extended for one year starting, July 1st and ending in June 2027.

The discussion regarding the extension began immediately after the recent superintendent search process.

According to a memo, the salary for the interim superintendent is $282,200.
