Iowa’s 4th Congressional Democratic Candidates discuss future plans

Ways To Subscribe

Earlier this week the Woodbury County Democrats, along with the Morningside University Democrats, held a forum for Iowa’s 4th Congressional District seat. The three Democratic candidates for the position debated issues including the environment and healthcare. The candidates are Dave Dawson, Stephanie Stiener, and Ashley WolfTornabane.

The voice we hear throughout the forum asking the questions belongs to Corey Kentrell, the moderator. We will first hear the candidates introduce themselves and why they decided to run. First is Dave Dawson, followed by Stephanie Steiner and ending with Ashley WolfTornabane.

Next, Kentrell asks the candidates different questions on the same topic. The first topic is environmental issues.

Other topics the candidates covered were voting regulations, education, and agricultural practices. The Democratic candidates are running against Republican Chris McGowan and Independent Jermaine Decker.

Randy Feenstra currently holds the seat for Iowa’s 4th Congressional District. Feenstra is not seeking reelection for the position, as he is running for governor. The Democratic winner in the June primary will advance to the November election.
