LAMB Theatre and Morningside University in Sioux City will combine to improve Klinger-Neal Theatre, as LAMB will continue to present shows at the college.
As part of that project, LAMB will provide nearly $1 million from fundraising for the work.
Those pieces will include all new patron seating, a quarter of a million dollars in state-of- the-art lighting, a massive video wall, state-of-the-art sound equipment and more.
LAMB Theatre’s Executive Director, Diana Wooley, thanked donors and looks forward to the project carried out by the two entities, which she said “will usher in a new era of performance excellence."
In the Wednesday release, Heath Weber, Dean of Visual and Performing Arts at Morningside University added, "By upgrading the Klinger-Neal Theatre, we are creating a better environment that will directly impact student learning and significantly enrich the cultural landscape of our community."
Renovations will begin this summer, in preparation for LAMB Theatre’s 47th season of shows. LAMB formerly had a facility elsewhere in Sioux City, and in recent years has partnered with Morningside for facilities.
