The Sioux City School Board will discuss the interim superintendent position during its work session Monday.
During their meeting, they will talk about the timeline of the search, identify priorities, and go over an information presentation.
Additionally, during their regular meeting, they will discuss initiating the application and search process.
According to a memo, the interim superintendent will have the opportunity to apply for superintendent once the search begins. The interim superintendent position will run until June 30th, 2027.
Associate Superintendent Angela Bemus stated in a letter to the school board she does not want to be interim superintendent.
