Last week, there was a collision of two vehicles in the northside of Sioux City, with one of the vehicles being driven by an ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officer.

That agency has provided more information, in a social media post saying the man who drove into a ERO vehicle was wanted for voluntary manslaughter, cruelty towards a child, and a 2023 order of removal.

The post said Raul Torres Olivares could face new felony criminal charges for illegal re-entry of an aggravated felon.

The collision took place in the 3700 block of Jackson Street on February 4. The ERO official was pursuing Torres Olivares in a car, then he drove into the ERO vehicle.

There was $7,000 in damage to the government vehicle and $2,000 to the other car.
