President Donald Trump was in Iowa Tuesday to give a speech on the economy, immigration, and the midterm elections.
During his speech, Trump urged Republican voters to turn out for the midterm elections to help the GOP keep control in Washington.
Trump said if the Republicans lose the midterms, voters would lose many assets, including tax cuts, and it would lead to bad things.
“We got to win the midterms,” he said.
Outside the rally, protesters lined the street and filled a neighboring parking lot.
The protestors carried signs calling for the removal of ICE agents from Minneapolis, shouting “justice for Pretti, justice for Good.”
Shirley Keenan of Des Moines says the president has allowed immigration officers to treat people inhumanely, and Congress, acting as a third equal branch, needs to force the administration to change its approach on immigration.
