Sioux City resident, Brandon Bradshaw, has signed an agreement that would allow him to continue painting flowers with permission.
On Thursday Bradshaw signed an agreement with the city of Sioux City and the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce committing to seek city permission before painting public property, as first reported by the Sioux City Journal.
The agreement says Bradshaw, the city, and the Chamber could work together in the future to determine locations where he can paint and help cover up unwanted graffiti.
Bradshaw is pleased he can continue his work and hopes to set up a foundation that teaches kids how to paint flowers, encouraging them to express their creativity through art.
He was first arrested and charged for the flowers spray-painted in Morningside and lost his job as a result. Since that time, many people have said they don’t think he should have been arrested, and an online petition sought to have charges dropped.
Multiple Sioux City businesses and residents have asked Bradshaw to paint flowers on their parking lots and driveways.
