Iowa Representative Bob Henderson announced Wednesday that he is seeking a third term in the Iowa Legislature.
Henderson, who represents Iowa’s second district, is a former teacher, coach, and head of the Woodbury County GOP.
He said after considerable time of prayer and discussion that he has decided to run again and that there is much unfinished business to attend to, as first reported by the Sioux City Journal.
He also said for this term he wants to focus on property tax laws.
Henderson currently serves on the Local Government, Public Safety, and Transportation committees and is on the Education Appropriations subcommittee.
Last year, Henderson defeated Democrat Jessica Lopez-Walker, winning with 60.6 percent.
