In Moville, a nonprofit economic development group, Moville Community Development Association, was awarded $450,000 towards the endeavor to launch a city licensed day care facility. The MRHD Economic Development Match Grant is a competitive grant opportunity that provides awards ranging from $250,000 up to $1 million for projects within Woodbury County that show high levels of collaboration.
MRHD Board President Sarah Kleber said the three projects will have lasting impact.
“These projects reflect the spirit of MRHD’s mission to strengthen communities, create opportunities, and improve quality of life for Woodbury County residents,” Kleber said.
MRHD is the non-profit organization that holds the license for gaming in Woodbury County with Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
MRHD also gives a series of other smaller grant awards each spring, ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 for community projects or festivals.
