Polls have just closed in Iowa, and Woodbury County Auditor Pat Gill, speaking about 6 p.m. said there were no voting glitches on the day technologically, but added that a few rural precincts are getting more ballots to finish out the day.

Gill was not concerned about voter intimidation, so did not add security at county polling places.

At the voting precinct at Spalding Park School in Sioux City, 400 people had voted with two hours to go.

Several people talked about their voting experience, including two who had voted for the first time.

Simarion Anderson of Sioux City described voting for first time at at 19, said it was a very easy process.

Gina Snow, of Sioux City, said the economy is concerning to her.

Corey Gilmore, of Sioux City, is concerned about the border and taxation.

Etta Adams, of Sioux City, was also voting for the first time, although she is older than the other first-time voter Anderson. Adams also joined Anderson in saying the ability of women to control their bodies motivated her.
