This weekend fans of the movie “Field of Dreams” will make their way to Omaha for a special screening of the 1989 Kevin Costner film. The event is one of many held by movie historian Bruce Crawford. He talked to Siouxland Public Media’s Sheila Brummer about this timeless classic and the film series he started in Omaha many years ago to benefit local charities.
The special screening of “Field of Dreams” featuring actor Dwier Brown takes place Saturday at the Omaha Community Playhouse at 7 p.m. For tickets call (402) 341-6559. The event is a fundraiser for HELP Medical Services which provides low-cost medical equipment for people in need.
