Dating is a big part of teenage life, but it can be hard for teens to know when they are in an unhealthy relationship.  Local women’s health proponents have been educating high school and college students about the need to maintain a healthy relationship as part of the Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.

Robyn Leiber talked about their campaign “Everyone has a hand in dating violence”. The goal is to reach about and help people understand what a healthy relationship looks like. They go to schools to give the youth opportunities to help them maintain healthy relationships with their peers.

Leiber talks about the red flags like physical and verbal altercations as well as sexual abuse. They also try to identify some of the more subtle things like controlling how someone dresses by judging outfits or being overbearing by texting too much.
