President Biden Pledges to End Work On Pipeline in NE; Remembering Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

This week on The Exchange, we talk with a Neligh, Nebraska farmer who has long opposed the Keystone Excel Pipeline about President Joe Biden's vow to stop the project. Former President Barack Obama opposed the pipeline as well, but former President Donald Trump rescinded that order in 2017.  Art Tanderup has spent years organizing and raising funds and awareness to stop the pipeline. Many environmentalists says could pollute the land, water and air.

Also today, we talk with an ISU mathematician about his model for COVID-19 transmission.  Klaus Kadelka says his model shows that socially active younger people are likely to be spreading COVID-19 at a higher rate than older people.

We also speak with Democratic Sioux City State Representative Chris Hall about his priorities for the 2021 Iowa legislative session.

And today we remember the life of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. with the leader of the Sioux City chapter of the NAACP, Ike Rayford.  We also head an excerpt from King's 1963 I Have a Dream speech in Washington DC.
