Steve King Ousted After 18 Years in Congress, The Exchange

This week on The Exchange we recap the June 2nd primary election.  The big takeaway is veteran 4th district congressman Steve King was defeated by State Senator Randy Feenstra of Hull.  Feenstra raised three times the amount of money King did and ws the only primary candidate to run television ads in Sioux City.

Also Des Moines real estate broker Theresa Greenfield clinched the Democratic primary for the senate seat currently held by Republican Joni Ernst.  Greenfield had a well-funded campaign and multiple endorsements from newspapers and other Democratic leaders in Iowa.  She had twice as many votes as the second place candidate, Michael Franken of Sioux City.

And Republican Woodbury County sheriff candidate Chad Sheehan defeated longtime law enforcement officer and deputy sheriff  Todd Wieck.
