Welcome. Sit. Stay. Jasmine.

Jasmine, due to a rather Draconian municipal law, cannot be adopted by anyone living within Sioux City, and it is a tragedy. She is a sweet and loving girl, and she deserves a loving home as much as any other dog. Find out how sweet she is for yourself, visit her at the Siouxland Humane Society.

Today on Welcome. Sit. Stay. we are introducing a poetry segment, and we hope you will send in your own pet inspired lyric. Our very first poem is a haiku composed by Mara Dekat:

A mini Schnauzer,
bearded like Dumbledore,
dines promptly at eight.

Support for Welcome. Sit. Stay. comes from Priscilla E Forsyth, Attorney at Law, located in Sioux City and providing criminal defense and immigration law services to the Siouxland community.

Mark Munger first began listening to public radio as a child in the back of his Mom's VW Vanagon, falling in love with the stories on Morning Edition and Prairie Home Companion and the laughter of Click and Clack on Car Talk. Through KWIT, he was introduced to the great orchestras and jazz artists, the sounds of folk and blues, and the eclectic expressions of humanity. This American Life and Radiolab arrived in his formative college years and made him want nothing more than to be a part of the public radio world.
