Great Plains Radio Theatre presents: The Golden Age of Radio Drama

Great Plains Radio Theatre presents: The Golden Age of Radio Drama

On Sunday, April 21, at 2:00pm in the Betty Strong Encounter Center Auditorium, the Great Plains Radio Theatre under the direction of Ralph Swain presents a hilarious comedy from the Golden Age of radio drama including jazz songs and original commercial jingles of the era with hand-operated sound effects displayed on stage. The show’s humor will entertain all ages, young and old. Those who remember the Golden Age of radio drama find the show quite nostalgic.

Ralph Swain is an online instructor for the Iowa Community College Online Consortium and Instructional Designer at Western Iowa Tech Community College. Swain holds BA and MA degrees in political science and history from Colorado State University. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1967 and served in Vietnam. In 2007, Swain founded the Great Plains Radio Theatre Project, a company of local voice actors who perform live old-time radio dramas on stage.
