Many projects have been awaiting action since the Supreme Court affirmed a lower court order compelling the Trump administration to pay for USAID projects.

Grants that had been stopped by the Trump Administration were designed to provide food and health services. The grants also funded agricultural and environmental research at partnering universities.

Iowa State University received termination notices regarding two USAID funded projects. The amount of funding received was around $585,000.

Angie Hunt of Iowa State University told Siouxland Public Media News that the projects “focused on improving international agricultural practices.”

Hunt also said the university is complying with the notices and working with its partners to understand what it means for the two projects.
