  • Anthony Brooks has more than twenty five years of experience in public radio, working as a producer, editor, reporter, and most recently, as a fill-in host for NPR. For years, Brooks has worked as a Boston-based reporter for NPR, covering regional issues across New England, including politics, criminal justice, and urban affairs. He has also covered higher education for NPR, and during the 2000 presidential election he was one of NPR's lead political reporters, covering the campaign from the early primaries through the Supreme Court's Bush V. Gore ruling. His reports have been heard for many years on NPR's Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and Weekend Edition.
  • Robbie grew up in New Hampshire, but has since written stories for radio stations from Washington, D.C., to a fishing village in Alaska. Robbie graduated from the University of Maryland and got his start in public radio at the Transom Story Workshop in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Before arriving at Maine Public Radio, he worked in the Midwest, where he covered everything from beer to migrant labor for public radio station WMUK in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
  • Julie Hlas is an Advancement Specialist with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. Focusing her efforts on External Relations, Communications and Marketing, Hlas has worked for ISU Extension and Outreach for over 14 years. Working as part of the state advancement team in Ames, IA, she also assists 28 county extension offices on the Western side of Iowa. Prior to her Extension career, she worked in public relations for the crime prevention unit of the Minneapolis Police Department and as a journalist for several small newspapers in NW Iowa. Hlas is a graduate from Iowa State Univeristy with a Bachelors of Science Distributive Degree in Advertising/Communication/Music. In her off time, she is an avid supporter of the arts and can be found around Sioux City Iowa, performing in and attending theatrical and musical productions.
