This What's The Frequency show provides an overview of the SiouxCity International Film Festival, with our gregarious guests, with Greg Giles and Adam Gonshorowski, who serves as director of the festival.

This show continues the tradition of Siouxland Public Media speaking with festival officials and participating filmmakers in a live event.

This is the 21st annual SiouxCity International Film Festival, which runs from Thursday October 1 through October 4.

There was a buzz Friday morning from people who saw the Thursday opening night events, which was the premiere of the full length documentary on noted Sioux City photographer and filmmaker George Lindblade.

"Lindblade: Cutting Edge" features the life and work of Lindblade.

Gonshorowski and Giles discuss the breadth of the films, how the festival began 21 years ago and why people relish what comes from the visual arts.

Bret Hayworth is a native of Northwest Iowa and graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with nearly 30 years working as an award-winning journalist. He enjoys conversing with people to tell the stories about Siouxland that inform, entertain, and expand the mind, both daily in SPM newscasts and on the weekly show What's The Frequency.
