The Phi Theta Kappa Convocation at Western Iowa Tech Focuses on the effect of the Coronavirus Pandemic on Education in Siouxland

The Social and Economic Impact of COVID-19 in Education was the focus of the recent convocation for the Western Iowa Tech Community College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Beta Zeta Mu. Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society for two - year college students.

On this week’s edition of the Exchange, we hear from speakers at the convocation, including Sioux City Community School District Superintendent Dr. Paul Gausman, Dr. Dora Jung, Director of Student Services & Equity Education & Title IX Coordinator; and Dr. Jen Gomez, Director of Human Resources.

We also hear from WITCC President Dr. Terry Murrell. The first voice you hear is Sima Dabir, WIT associate dean of arts and science.
