Salix , Iowa, residents voted Tuesday to fill a vacancy on the Salix City Council.
Former councilman Tim Skidmore was the only person on the ballot, and won the position by getting all 56 votes. Skidmore formerly served on the council.
The other Salix City Council members are Denise Burkhart, Emily Clayton, Brenda Smith-Hansen and Gene Monk.
The next council meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, when a possible moratorium on data centers could be voted upon.\
