Sioux City Council to discuss Long Lines Recreation Center project

The Sioux City Council will discuss approving plans and construction costs for the Long Lines Family Recreation Center Infill project in its meeting Monday.

According to a city memo, the plans for the project include relocating electrical and mechanical systems, reconstructing pavement, and infilling parts of the basement.

The estimated cost of the project is $247,000, which will be supported through CIP funds. Currently, the CIP funds for the long lines project has a balance of $61,662. $690,000 in funding is allocated for fiscal year 2027.

If approved, bid letting for the project will take place on July 7, and the project is expected to be completed by November 26, 2026.
