As some areas in Siouxland recover from Tuesday’s early morning storms, others are expecting extreme weather conditions through at least Wednesday.

People are cleaning up the debris and other damages in Dickinson County left behind from the storms and high winds. Dickinson County isn’t the only county hit by the severe weather; parts of Sioux and Woodbury Counties endured the harsh conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, severe thunderstorms are possible for Tuesday night. It says primary hazards include large hail, heavy downpours and damaging wind gusts. This outlook includes northwest Iowa, northeast Nebraska, and southeast South Dakota.

Additionally, Harrison and Monona Counties are under heat advisories until 9pm Tuesday, as the heat index is expected to reach 102 degrees.
