The two major party nominees running for Nebraska governor have announced their latest fundraising totals.
Republican Governor Jim Pillen cited having $9.5 million in cash on hand for his campaign.
Democratic Party nominee Lynne Walz released a Tuesday statement saying her campaign has outraised Pillen since the primary election in May. Her campaign claims to have raised more than $292,400 in the five weeks since, compared to Pillen raising $163,700 over the same period.
Both campaigns said they are compiling financial resources to win the general election in November, for a four-year governor term in Nebraska.
