The State Historical Society of Iowa awarded individuals and organizations across the state for publications, local history initiatives, and achievements in Iowa history.
The Moville Museum received the Loren Horton Community History Award for The Story of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Stockman House. According to SHSI, the project increases awareness and participation in Iowa history on a local level.
Additionally, the Warnock Benson Building in Sioux City received a Preservation Projects of Merit award. SHSI says the building demonstrates the best preservation practices and meets historic building restoration standards.
