Two Siouxland groups, Siouxland Good Troublemakers and Sweetgrass Uprising, are joining cities across the country in a No Kings protest on Saturday.
A march will go from Advance Auto Parts in South Sioux City to the Sioux City Public Museum.
Along the way, participants will make four prayer stops with the last stop at the Sioux City Public Museum.
In a press release, Kim Van Es, a volunteer for the Spencer No Kings protest, said it was time for Sioux County to have a No Kings protest, and it's not just people on the left who are alarmed.
Van Es added, “Republicans, Democrats, and Independents know that power is being abused.”
Other towns and cities in the Siouxland area that are participating in the No Kings include Sioux Center, Wayne, and Vermillion.
This is the third No Kings protest that has taken place since the first one in June 2025.
