The Woodbury County Board of Supervisors had their first meeting of the year on Tuesday, with Mark Nelson as the new chairman.
During their meeting Friday, Dan Bittenger nominated Nelson as the new chairman of the board, with it passing unanimously.
“I would like to thank outgoing chair Dan for being a great team player this past year and including me as vice chairman in a lot of things that we did,” said Nelson.
Nelson said he learned a lot this past year, and he hopes to lead as well as Bittinger.
Additionally, Dave Dietrich was selected as vice chair for the board of supervisors.
