The City of Sioux City has installed a new electric vehicle charging station at the Martin Luther King Jr. parking ramp located at 6th Street and Nebraska Street.
The Charge Point station is located on the second level and is fast charging, providing 19 kilowatts to two EV parking spots.
According to a city press release, the area will be restriped in spring 2026 to accommodate more accessible parking.
Rates for the charging station are $2.00 per hour with a maximum rate of $8.00 per day.
This station provides additional options for people to charge their electric cars while supporting the city’s sustainability goals.
