South Dakota Attorney General's Office and BIA to hold event for MMIR

Ways To Subscribe

The South Dakota Attorney General’s Office and the Bureau of Indian Affairs Missing and Murdered Unit are holding an event to honor Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives.

The Voices of the Unnamed event is to help bring answers and potential closure to families searching for missing loved ones.

At the event families can provide DNA for their missing relatives, and the DNA samples will be cross-referenced against unidentified human remains.

Organizers say participation is completely voluntary, and DNA can be removed and destroyed at any time if requested.

Voices of the Unnamed is on December 18th and 19th at the Civic Center in Rapid City.
