Kingsley-Pierson High School students will start attending in-person classes at the Kingsley Community Center on Thursday.

Earlier this month a severe internal flooding event from a water main break heavily damaged the school, forcing the district to host in-person classes at different locations. Nelson Construction is currently working on the water main repair and will continue to work on it until the issue is resolved.

According to a Wednesday statement from the district, high school students will have an open campus for lunch and a study hall at the community center but will not have lockers available to them. They will have three options for lunch on the open campus: eat a cold lunch at the community center or go for a hot lunch at the Catholic church.

Removal of gym floors, carpet, and other damages will continue throughout the week.

The elementary students from the Kingsley building, for now, are attending classes in the Pierson building.
