Two Siouxland groups, Siouxland Good Troublemakers and Sweetgrass Uprising, in partnership with the Food Bank of Siouxland, are holding a food drive on Saturday.
A march will go from Advance Auto Parts in South Sioux City to the Sioux City Public Museum.
Along the way, participants will make four prayer stops at the Veteran’s Bridge, Seoul Foods, Mildred Anderson Pavilion, and the last stop at the Sioux City Public Museum.
Organizers are asking those who stop by the museum to make cash, debit, or check donations to the Food Bank of Siouxland for their Food for Kids Backpack program and mobile food pantries. The Food Bank will take donations from 1 to 2 pm, and a private donor will match every dollar that is raised.
Over the past few months the Siouxland Good Troublemakers and Sweetgrass Uprising have raised funds for nonprofits in Siouxland.
